Founded in 1993 by Ineke Zigrossi, Abbozzo Gallery has been a longstanding presence in Toronto’s contemporary art landscape, dedicated to representing regional, Canadian, and international artists. Since its inception, the gallery has cultivated a reputation for thoughtful curation and a commitment to building enduring relationships between artists, collectors, and the wider community. The gallery began in Oakville before relocating to 401 Richmond Street in 2013, a heritage-designated industrial building that has become a vital hub for arts and culture in downtown Toronto. This move marked an important chapter in Abbozzo’s evolution, situating the gallery within a dynamic environment of creative exchange and collaboration. In 2025, Abbozzo Gallery settled in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood in the west end, embracing a vibrant and growing cultural district. From this location, the gallery continues to foster meaningful engagement with modern and contemporary art through curated exhibitions, personalized art advisory services, and a welcoming space that encourages dialogue, discovery, and long-term collecting. We review submissions on a quarterly basis.
