Based in our expansive, light-filled space within Toronto’s iconic 32 Sousa Mendes Street, Toronto, Ontario M6P 0B2, CA, we provide a professional platform for artists who demonstrate exceptional technical skill and a unique contemporary perspective. As a member of the Art Dealers Association of Canada (ADAC) , we pride ourselves on maintaining a high standard of excellence while remaining accessible to the collectors and creators who make the Toronto art scene so vibrant. Our Curatorial Focus We are looking for artists who bring a fresh narrative to the gallery, regardless of where they are in their career path. Our interests include: Technical Mastery: Work that reflects a deep understanding of the medium, whether through traditional painting, intricate printmaking, or sculpture. Narrative & Concept: Art that tells a story or challenges the viewer’s perception of the modern world. Diverse Perspectives: We are committed to representing a wide range of voices and backgrounds to reflect the global nature of contemporary art. Submission Criteria To ensure a thorough review by our curatorial team, please include the following in your submission: Curated Portfolio: 10–15 images of recent, available work that showcases a consistent style or thematic direction. Artist Biography & CV: A summary of your professional background, including education, exhibitions, and awards. Statement of Intent: A brief explanation of your work and why you feel it aligns with the aesthetic values of Abbozzo Gallery. Note to Applicants: We value the time and effort it takes to create.
