Abbozzo Gallery and casa espacio is seeking to engage the local artist community by inviting emerging and mid-career artists to submit their work for consideration. The exhibition will be held at and in conjunction with our friends at Casa Espacio at Carrer Del Lleó 8, El Raval, Barcelona.
From everyday life to dreams.
This exhibition aims to create a dialogue between different Barcelona-based emerging artists, with a focus on unconventional material, ephemerality, and the idea of everyday items crossing the threshold into dreamlike reality. The exhibition aims to blur the lines of perception and use, and to subvert our expectations about what may be considered fine art.
We are looking for artists who:
- Employ use of material or technology in new, exciting, ways.
- Whose artistic practice entails artworks that are ephemeral, but not limited to this concept
- Have artworks that are based on, but not limited to, "everyday objects"
- Are based in Barcelona or the surrounding area and can deliver their artwork to Casa Espacio
Submission Criteria
To ensure a thorough review by our curatorial team, please include the following in your submission:
- Curated Portfolio: 5-10 images of recent, available work that showcases a consistent style or thematic direction.
- Artist Biography & CV: A summary of your professional background, including education, exhibitions, and awards.
- Statement of Intent: A brief explanation of your work and why you feel it aligns with the aesthetic values of the exhibition.
Note to Applicants: We value the time and effort it takes to create. While we review all submissions, we are specifically looking for artworks that are immediately available and ready to exhibit
