Associazione LAIMA

Associazione LAIMA is an Italian cultural association founded as a tribute to the scholar Marija Gimbutas, who developed new interpretive frameworks for understanding prehistory through the lens of archaeology, symbolism, and myth. The organization works to build and promote more balanced models of existence—culturally, artistically, socially, and educationally—centered on a matristic culture of care, mutuality, and relationship. LAIMA organizes artistic residencies, international conferences, workshops, and online gatherings that explore shamanism, indigenous peaceful cultures, and ancestral practices. Its programming embraces a wide range of artistic disciplines alongside spiritual and educational inquiry.
