Belgrade Artist in Residence

Belgrade Artist in Residence (BAIR) is an artist-run, self-supported residency program based in Belgrade, Serbia, hosted by the non-profit Center424. Founded in 2012, it offers a hybrid model combining an in-person residency in Belgrade with Virtual Studio Groups, a curated international peer network of about sixty artists meeting weekly online. BAIR maintains an ongoing exchange partnership with The Local AIR in Valencia, Spain, and has past exchange relationships with residencies in Gothenburg and Barcelona. The program is self-directed, with a curatorial team offering conceptual guidance and project feedback rather than institutional grants or fixed themes.
