Electric City Culture Council

The Electric City Culture Council (EC3) is an independent, arm's-length, not-for-profit corporation mandated by the City of Peterborough to champion the development of the arts and culture community for the people of the City and County of Peterborough. It builds capacity across the sector by developing and delivering programs and services that support individual artists, cultural professionals and arts organizations in advancing their practice and creating new opportunities. EC3 delivers public-facing programs including the Peterborough Poet Laureate, Artsweek, the Peterborough Arts Awards and Mayor's Luncheon for the Arts, mentorships, and artist residencies. EC3 represents the arts and culture community to government and other agencies, advises on cultural policy, explores new funding sources for the arts, and builds cross-sectoral community partnerships.
