Extrartis is a service that lets artists carry out an artist's residence while receiving a salary for their work and a budget for materials. Residents stay free of charge in residences of high historical and artistic value, recognized as part of European cultural heritage. The project is a cultural heritage enhancement initiative built on creative experimentation and artist engagement, and it has run across four editions.
It holds an annual open call reviewed by an international jury, and shows the selected artists' work in final exhibitions. It also runs an online store with paintings, ceramics, sculptures, textile and mixed media works by its selected artists.
