ExtrArtis provides an opportunity for dialogue on the sense of belonging to a shared European space, as envisaged by the European Year of Cultural Heritage, through experimental processes that support the idea of heritage as a resource (Bucharest Declaration, 16 April 2019 – as highlighted by the European slogan “Our heritage: where the past meets the future”).

the provision, by and at the expense of ExtrArtis, to the Selected Artists of suites, swimming pool and garden park for their exclusive use within the Artist Accommodation where the Artist Residency practice will take place and where they will stay during the artistic experience from 30 November to 9 December 2026. This year, the Artist Accommodation for the Artist Residency experience will be hosted in a venue in Southern Italy named Relais La Rupe (www.relaislarupesorrento.com).
Fees and support
The award to the Selected Artists is of EUR 500.00 (five hundred/00), inclusive of the material costs required to produce the Artistic Proposal, SUPPORTED BY EXTRARTIS. Also ExtrArtis will cover all the costs of the final exhibition and for the accomodation.
In order to participate in the Call, each artist must pay a mandatory and non-refundable registration fee of EUR 20.00 (twenty/00) (the “Fee”), it being understood that – regardless of the outcome of the selection under the Call – each participant will be offered, free of charge, the opportunity to be promoted on the ExtrArtis platform’s social media channels, where applicable.
Expectations towards the artist
the “Selected Artists” are required to produce, during and/or within the Artist Residency, at least two physical artworks (the “Artistic Proposal”), which may be created in situ or elsewhere and, in any case, must be completed no later than the end of the Residency period. The requirement for at least two works is related to their placement within the Artist Accommodation: respectively, in the suite assigned to the Selected Artist during the Artist Residency and in the park belonging to the Artist Accommodation and facing the suite

- a photocopy of a valid identity document together with the artist's detailed CV, including email and social media contact details so that the artist may be contacted if selected as a Selected Artist (maximum 1 page)
