Champions New Mexico women-identifying artists through community, education, and promotion.
The New Mexico State Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMC of NMWA) is a state committee established in 1997 to support the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C., and to champion New Mexico's women-identifying artists. It connects artists, art lovers, and the broader arts community through membership, an online Artist Registry, and programs such as studio visits, tours, talks, and special events. The organization centers its work on Community, Education, and Promotion, and organizes a biennial juried exhibition open to its Artist Registry members. It also shares member news and opportunities through its blog, an email newsletter, and social media.
