Site-specific exhibitions and interventions emerging from alternative cultural and architectural contexts.
STNDRD Exhibitions presents a program of exhibitions, interventions, and projects that emerge from alternative and site-specific locations, informed by the cultural, historical, and architectural contexts in which they unfold. Based in Chicago, STNDRD operates a flagship program at the Granite City Art and Design District (GCADD) in Granite City, Illinois, engaging artists and cultural producers with site-responsive work. The organization supports artists through honoraria, installation support, documentation, and curatorial guidance. STNDRD actively encourages applications from underrepresented artists, including artists of color, LGBTQ+ artists, women, non-binary, transgender, gender nonconforming artists, and artists with disabilities.
