“Experimental and alternative visual art; conceptual, interdisciplinary, and underrepresented practices”
Point Pleasant Publishing invites experimental and alternative visual artists to be featured with detailed curatorial review essays in their linen wrap hardcover art book catalogue. Selected artists receive a six-page spread, publication on the Point Pleasant website and Substack, and one work on permanent display in their online gallery on Saatchi Art. Accepted disciplines include photography, performance, moving-image (video/film), installation, fiber/textiles, assemblage, collage, jewelry, light design, printmaking, fashion/costume design, and analogue digital — no AI-generated work. Artists are selected based on originality, conceptual impact, cohesiveness of portfolio, and aesthetic qualities. No financial compensation is paid; artists retain copyright but grant permission for use in publications and promotions. If selected, artists must make a $35 donation (or $100 for a premium hardcover copy with free expedited shipping) to be published.

Read all guidelines and review sample essays before applying. If selected, a $35 donation (or $100 for premium hardcover) is required to be published.
