“Community engagement and dialogue with the Vanier community, leading to the creation of a final legacy artwork(s) informed by insights gained during the residency.”
The City of Ottawa invites professional artists or artist teams to submit interest and qualifications for the opportunity to be Vanier's artist in residence. This community-led initiative is designed to foster meaningful engagement and dialogue with the Vanier community, and the insights gained will inform the creation of a final legacy artwork(s). The residency budget is $40,000 CAD (plus HST if applicable), with an additional $40,000 to $70,000 CAD available to create a final legacy artwork(s) after the residency.
