Compensation details
Accepted artists pay a residency fee to attend. Financial support, called a "Fellowship", is available to help defray this cost: a full Fellowship covers the entire residency fee, a partial Fellowship covers a part of the residency fee. Housing is included. Travel, specific materials, or food are not covered by a Fellowship. Ten fully or partially funded residencies are available in each application round.
If accepted, a $200 holding deposit is due, along with your contract, within a month of acceptance to hold your dates; it is forfeited on cancellation or rescheduling, otherwise acts as a security deposit returned 30 days after the end of the residency stay, minus any damages. The residency fee is due 60 days before the residency start date. Spouse fee: $150/week, which does not include studio use for the spouse.
Collaborative teams with shared housing are offered 25% off the total cost of 2 artists. Demonstrations and mentorship meetings are available for an additional fee.
