Residents live independently in a self-contained 2-level apartment, in the center of a typical Italian 'borgo' (small village). The apartment comprises a living room, kitchen, and workspace on the ground floor. A bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor. An extra (double) bed is available on this floor. The apartment is well-equipped with central heating, a washing machine and internet access.
Equipment
Large work table, a studio easel and a lightweight easel for traveling in the surrounding area; an additional desk on the second floor.
Compensation details
Residency fees are listed on the APPLICATION FORM on the website www.lacasaetruria.com. Residents are responsible for all travel expenses, food, drinks, and artist materials and equipment during their stay.
More about eligibility
Residencies are intended for artists, writers, musicians and researchers. The house is suitable for those producing small to medium-sized two-dimensional works or small three-dimensional pieces.
Accommodation is for 1 artist, a couple or 2 artist-friends (2 beds available). Candidates are expected to bring their own materials and equipment for the duration of their residency. The village can be reached by public transport, however, residents are highly recommended to come with own (rented) transport.
