What happens to applicants we didn't accept?
They stay in your applicant network, already reviewed, scored and tagged. When the next call opens the runner-up pool is right there, and you can reach out to strong candidates without starting from a blank list. That pool is real program value, and most residency platforms throw it away on decision day.
How is this different from a CRM?
A CRM is only as current as the last person who updated it, and artists never log in to do that. On Artsume they own their profiles and keep them up to date. The profile is the credential for an arts career, with portfolio, CV and history attached. Your residency gets the relationship layer, and every artist gets an identity they carry to other programs.
How does blind review work for residency selection?
Blind review hides identifying information from your panel while they adjudicate, so they evaluate the work on merit. You choose what's hidden: artist name, location, contact details, links, institution, references. Program leads, owners and admins keep full visibility, so they can still administer the call. Reviewer scores are governed separately. Set review visibility to blind until decisions are released. No one sees another reviewer's scores while the panel is in flight.
Can multiple staff and jury members review together?
Yes. Invite panel members, program directors, and staff to review together. Each reviewer scores independently using your custom rubric, and you see aggregate scores alongside individual notes.
How much does Artsume cost for residency programs?
Getting started is free with Artsume Network: unlimited residency calls, applications, and team members, plus your artist network and simple reviews. Artsume Intelligence ($79/month billed annually, or $129/month monthly) adds advanced blind review, custom scoring rubrics, reporting, and written artist overviews. We only charge a 10% platform fee when you collect application payments through Stripe, and that 10% is all-in: Artsume covers the card processing, with no monthly minimum and no per-payout charge.
