What this observation shows
Exhibitions, festivals and residencies form the largest visible groups. The United States holds the largest recorded country count. These patterns describe Artsume's listing coverage on this date. They do not establish where most arts activity happens or where an artist is most likely to succeed.
Method and source
One observation of the public Artsume research page. Programs are public and open for applications, including a late application window, and have a public, published host organization. The organization count independently includes all public, published organization profiles. A program's country comes from its location, or its host organization's location when absent. The source shows eight rows in each distribution. The remaining counts are grouped by subtraction from the stated totals.
Source: Artsume's public research page, observed on 2026-10-09 UTC. The smaller groups are derived totals, not estimates. Each is the relevant distribution total minus the visible rows in the source.
The source response hash identifies the captured HTML. The JSON download includes that hash and the full method.
Limits
- These are Artsume listings, not a census or representative sample of the arts sector.
- The 2,378 organization profiles are not a count of hosts offering the 418 open programs.
- Program location does not establish applicant eligibility, nationality, or where a remote participant lives.
- The source groups six smaller program types and fourteen further countries. Their individual counts are not available in this capture.
- This edition does not measure acceptance rates, award values, application fees, deadline seasonality, or time to decision.
- The live page changes. This edition preserves one public observation and cannot reproduce private or historical database records.
