Verified credentials are CV credits that the awarding organization has confirmed. The issuer can attest to each grant, residency, or exhibition you list. Confirmed credits carry a seal that curators trust on first read.
No, confirming a request is voluntary for the organization. They see your pending request in their dashboard and respond when convenient. Unverified credits still appear on your CV, without the verified seal.
If an org marks a credit as disputed, it doesn't appear on your public CV. Artsume notifies you, and you can update the credit or remove it.
Yes. Verification costs nothing for the artist requesting it or the organization confirming it.
Yes. List any CV credit. Only credits from organizations on Artsume can be verified, but the rest still appear on your CV. As more organizations join, more of your CV becomes verifiable.
How verification works
Why verification matters in the art world
Curators and grant committees often have minutes per applicant. When the issuer signs off every grant, residency, and exhibition, your CV closes the gap that a paper CV or a Word doc leaves open.
From request to confirmation in one click
The org side stays light. When you request confirmation, the awarding organization sees your credit in their dashboard with two buttons: Confirm and Decline. That is the whole review.
