Four-day intensive workshop for women filmmakers at Banff Centre, focused on adventure and outdoor filmmaking. Led by Well Travelled Collective, a women-owned production studio. Covers narrative building, pitch decks, producing, fundraising, marketing, and distribution. Participants take part in scheduled workshops with faculty and guests, receive feedback on works-in-progress, and are encouraged to bring a specific film project to develop. Includes on-campus lodging (single room), meals, shared production spaces, and access to campus facilities. Scholarships available — all arts participants automatically receive a Banff Centre Arts Scholarship covering 100% of tuition and 25% of accommodation and meals; Canadian Indigenous applicants receive 100% coverage of all costs.

Resume/CV (max 2 pages), one-page cover letter explaining interest and goals, two-page project proposal including theme and program relevance, and a video sizzle reel or links to past films. Complete Financial Aid section in SlideRoom to be considered for scholarships.
Note
Open to filmmakers who identify as women, aged 18+. Applicants must have some experience in project planning, camera work, sound capture, pitching, location skills, editing, and distribution, and must have completed at least one film screened in a professional environment. Applicants are encouraged to apply with a specific project to develop. Program conducted in English. Domestic and international applications welcome. Note: Banff Centre programs do not meet eligibility for a Canadian Student Visa; accepted international participants must obtain a Visitor Visa.

Single bedroom on the Banff Centre campus included in program fee.
