Most application platforms delete or archive submissions when a program closes. Artsume keeps your artist records available between cycles. Artists update their own profiles as their careers grow, so your team can return to the relationships it has built.
How is Artsume different from a CRM?
In a CRM, keeping contact data fresh is your job. Artists never log in to help. Artsume works from both sides. Artists maintain their own profiles, so the regional directory stays current on its own. Your council gets the relationship layer, and every artist gets a career identity they can take to other programs.
How does Artsume help arts councils manage grant programs?
Artsume handles submissions for grant programs and open calls end to end. Applications arrive in a consistent format. Your panel reviews them with blind review and custom scoring rubrics, and every artist who engages with your council builds up a long-term record.
Does Artsume support blind review for grant adjudication?
Yes. Blind review hides identifying information from your panel while they adjudicate, so they assess the work on merit. You control what's hidden: applicant name, location, contact details, links, institution, references. Program leads, owners and admins keep full visibility, so they can still administer the program. Reviewer scores are governed separately. Set review visibility to blind until decisions are released. No one sees another reviewer's scores while the panel is in flight.
What types of submissions can artists send through Artsume?
Artists can submit high-resolution images (JPEG, PNG, TIFF), videos (MP4, MOV), PDFs, written statements, CVs, and structured form responses. Everything arrives in a consistent, professional format, so there's nothing to chase down or decode.
How much does Artsume cost for arts councils?
Getting started is free: unlimited grant programs, submissions, and team members, plus your artist network and simple reviews. Artsume Pro for organizations ($500 a year) adds recommended artists, invitations to artists you find on Artsume, applicant fit, one promotion for each paid year, blind reviews and juries, and reports. We only charge a 10% platform fee when you collect application payments through Stripe, and that 10% is all-in: Artsume covers the card processing, with no monthly minimum and no per-payout charge.
Can we see one artist's history across every program we run?
Yes. Each artist keeps one record, and every application, award and update lands on it. Staff turnover does not reset it.
How do we stay in contact with past grant recipients?
Recipients keep their own profile and update it themselves. You reach them from the same record you funded them from, years later.
