The Muskegon Museum of Art invites ceramic artists to apply for Cups Invitational 2026, a juried exhibition celebrating the artistry and function of the handmade cup.
This exhibition highlights the diversity of contemporary ceramic practice—from quiet, utilitarian forms to expressive, one-of-a-kind vessels. Each piece reflects the intimate, daily ritual of holding and using a cup.

Entry Fee: $25. Artists must submit two cups for consideration. Each cup must include four (4) images per cup for a total of eight (8) images. Images must include: Front view, Inside view, Bottom view, Back view. Entries must be submitted through CaFÉ (CallForEntry.org). Entry does not guarantee exhibition of art.
Note
Open to ceramic artists working in functional or sculptural interpretations of cups. All work must be original and created by the submitting artist. Cups only (no teapots). All work must be for sale. Work must be professionally finished and ready for display. Cups should be durable and functional unless clearly intended as sculptural work. The museum reserves the right to exclude work that differs significantly from submitted images. Selected artists will be expected to provide the submitted cups for exhibition.
