“Global Warming is REAL: Resilience”
The Encaustic Art Institute presents the 2026 juried encaustic/wax exhibition Global Warming is REAL: Resilience. Open to all artists working in wax-based media (all forms of encaustic, hot or cold wax, encaustic mixed media) in 2-D or 3-D form, regardless of EAI membership. Artists may submit up to two images of different artworks for juror review; only one piece per artist may be selected. Accepted artwork will be shown at the Museum of Encaustic Art in New Mexico and in an online exhibition. Artists may opt to participate only in the online portion without shipping work. Theme focuses on resilience, optimism, adaptability, and hope in response to climate change. All accepted work must be for sale and remain eligible for sale through close of exhibition. 50% commission on sold artwork.

Additional Requirements
Up to 2 artworks (images of different pieces) for juror review; only 1 piece per artist may be selected. Up to 3 detail views per submitted artwork allowed. Images: JPG/PNG format, 300 dpi recommended (150 dpi minimum), 1600px wide minimum, up to 25MB per file. Required artist statement: 50–250 words describing how work relates to the exhibition theme. 2-D artwork: maximum 24x24 inches; 3-D artwork: maximum 20x20 inches. All work must be for sale and remain eligible for sale through close of exhibition.
Note
Entry fee: $30 for current Encaustic Art Institute members; $35 for non-members. Open to all encaustic/wax artists regardless of EAI membership. Artists may choose to participate in-person (ship work to museum) or online only.
