Month-long self-directed residency at Banff Centre's Crich Studio for one mid-career Canadian photographer. Includes 24/7 access to a private black and white analogue darkroom, facilitated access to digital print production, and technical support from the photography facilitator. Supports independent research, creative exploration, and project development across analogue, digital, and alternative photographic processes such as cyanotype. The program is fully funded: 100% scholarship covering tuition, single accommodation, meal plan ($68/day credit), travel bursary, and $1,000 CAD materials allowance.

Two-page resume or CV; artist statement (max 500 words, 1-2 paragraphs); 500-word project proposal including theme, materials/facilities outline, and timeline breakdown; technical questionnaire (via SlideRoom); portfolio PDF with up to 10 work samples with captions.
Note
Open to Canadian citizens, Permanent Residents, or those eligible under the Jay Treaty. Must be 18+ at program start. Mid-career defined as 8-15 years of professional arts experience with minimum 10 exhibitions in professional contexts (artist-run centres, public art galleries, recognized photo festivals). Previous recipients are not eligible.

Adjudication panel of internal and external assessors. Criteria: artistic merit and originality, demonstrated skills and experience, clarity of goals, suitability for self-directed environment, feasibility within facilities and timeframe.
