Organization
[´ace](/directory/organizations/ace)
[**´ace**](https://www.proyectoace.org/en/home-2/) is an acronym that stands for "arte contemporáneo en expansión", which is Spanish for "expanding contemporary art". Our main mission is to promote contemporary artistic practices and the exploration of their multiple interfaces through residency programs, which are aimed at artists, curators and researchers, and promote collaborative work, exchange, debate and experimentation.
[Production Residencies](https://www.proyectoace.org/en/residencies/production-residencies/) (spanning for 4 weeks) support emerging and professional artists in the creation of new bodies of works, or the development of works in progress (including visual practices, performance art, sound art, and curating). Our residents work on all kinds of individual or collaborative projects proposed by themselves, producing with the support of the ´ace team and associated professionals who support the creative process through collective meetings and permanent feedback. [Production Residencies](https://www.proyectoace.org/en/residencies/production-residencies/) may include a closing exhibition, a site-specific installation or an open studio format presentation to the local public.
We hold 4 open calls every year for all of our programs, the deadlines are: January 31st, April 30th, July 31st and October 31st.
