Artsume Pro
Artsume Pro is the paid plan for you, whether or not you have an artist profile: weekly program matches, named viewers, autofill, and search alerts.
Artsume Pro belongs to you, not to one of your profiles. You hold one Pro subscription per account, and you can buy it whether you are on Artsume as an artist, as an arts professional, or as both. A curator with no portfolio is a paying customer like anyone else.
Everything you need to build a profile, discover programs, and apply is free forever. Pro sits on top of that. For current prices, see Pricing.
Pro never includes the verified seal. Verification is earned when organizations confirm your CV, and it cannot be bought. See Getting verified.
What Pro unlocks
Some of what Pro adds works for any person. The rest depends on the artist side, because the data behind it is an artist's. A fit score ranks a program against a practice, and there is no such thing to rank for a curator.
For anyone with a Pro subscription:
- Who viewed your profile. The names, avatars, and last visit of the people and organizations reading your profile, instead of a count.
- Paste-a-link autofill. Drop a link to a program's own page into the tracker and Artsume fills in the details for you.
- Your network tools. Save the filters you use most, and read your full history with anyone in your network.
- Search alerts. Save a search and get an email when a new program fits it.
- A lift in Discover. Work from Pro accounts ranks higher in other people's feeds.
With the artist side on, Pro also adds:
- Your best matches. All five of your weekly program matches, instead of one.
- Program fit. How well a specific program fits your practice, and why, before you apply.
- Work insights. Which of your portfolio pieces people open most.
Best-fit matching
Matching runs for every artist, free and Pro alike. Artsume scores each open program against your practice, your career stage, your location, and your preferences, then labels the strongest results Top pick, Strong fit, or Worth a shot.
What differs is how much of the list you see:
- Free reveals one match a week. The week turns over on Monday, so there is always a fresh one.
- Pro reveals your five best current matches, and the set moves as programs open and close.
Where your matches appear
On Explore, the Pro matches pill narrows the results to the programs matched to you. It appears for anyone with the artist side on, on either plan, and it shows you exactly what you are entitled to: one program on the free plan, five on Pro. A free account also sees a Pro tile in the grid explaining what the other four are.
Matched programs are badged in the ordinary results too, and a matched program's own page carries a callout explaining why it fits.
Matching needs the artist side
Program matching ranks against an artist's practice. If you are on Artsume as an arts professional with no artist side, you see no match pills and no fit callouts. Pro gives you the viewer names, network tools, autofill, and search alerts instead.
The match digest email
Pro emails you a weekly digest of new matches, up to five, so you never have to remember to check. It goes to Pro subscribers with the artist side on, since it is a matching email.
A free account gets no digest email. You hear about the week's single reveal as a notification inside Artsume instead.
To stop the email, turn off the weekly digest in your notification settings or use the unsubscribe link. Neither stops the in-app notification, and your matches still appear on Explore either way.
Named viewers and work insights
Every person gets Insights with views, unique viewers, search appearances, and where viewers are from. Pro adds the identities behind the numbers.
On the free plan, the Who viewed your profile card gives you a count. On Pro it lists the actual organizations and people, with how often each viewed you and when they last came back. Most viewed works ranks your own portfolio by how often each piece is opened, which needs the artist side.
Paste-a-link autofill
When you track a program that lives off Artsume, the Add an application dialog opens with a Paste a link to autofill field. On Pro, dropping in a URL fills the organization, program, type, location, deadline, expected decision date, fee, and link, and matches the organization to its Artsume profile where it can. It only ever fills fields you left empty.
The field is visible to everyone. On the free plan, choosing Autofill opens the upgrade dialog instead. See Managing applications.
Network tools and search alerts
Pro turns your network from a list into a working tool. You can save the filtered views you keep rebuilding, and open the full history you have with any person rather than the recent slice.
Search alerts work the other way round, bringing programs to you. Save a search on Explore, name it, and Artsume emails you when a new program fits it. Saving is subscribing: there is no separate alert switch, and every saved search alerts.
Earn Pro by referring people
You can also get Pro without paying for it. Refer and earn gives you a link to invite people you admire.
A referral counts once the person you invited creates an account and reaches 100% profile completion. Signing up alone is not enough.
- 10 completed referrals earn a free year of Artsume Pro.
- 50 completed referrals earn "Pro for life", which the referral terms set at five years.
Claiming a reward runs a Stripe checkout that comes to $0. A card is required, and the plan renews at the standard price once the free period ends unless you cancel. If you already subscribe, the reward covers your upcoming renewals instead.
Buying Pro
There are two ways in:
- From any Pro prompt. Wherever Pro would help, a card explains what is locked and offers to upgrade. Selecting it opens the upgrade dialog.
- From Settings. Open Settings, go to Plan & billing, choose Monthly or Annual, and select Get Pro. The annual plan is cheaper per month and its full yearly figure is shown alongside.
Either way you finish at Stripe's checkout. Once payment clears, Pro is active.
Free stays free
Upgrading never locks anything you already had. Your profile, portfolio, CV, applications, and network are unaffected. Pro only adds.
Managing or canceling
Payment methods, invoices, and cancellation all live in Stripe's billing portal.
- Open Settings and go to Plan & billing.
- Choose Manage billing to open the portal.
- Update your card, download invoices, or cancel from there.
There is one billing section, not two. If you cancel, you keep Pro to the end of the period you have paid for, then return to the free plan with nothing lost.
Pro granted by Artsume
If your Pro access was granted directly by the Artsume team rather than through your own checkout, there is no billing portal to manage. Contact support if you need a change.
