“Social justice, equity, Black lives, First Nations/Inuit/Métis rights, community engagement”
Annual call for mural concepts addressing social injustice and equity, with focus on Black lives and First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. Open to street, mural, and graffiti artists and collectives committed to diversity and inspiring positive change. Proposals must speak to historic and current social issues and movements within Black and Indigenous communities. Projects must be located in Toronto, visible from a city street, and completed in 2026. Up to 6 projects selected receive up to $7,000 based on scale and complexity, distributed equitably across Scarborough, Etobicoke, North York and Downtown.

Written authorization from property owner granting permission to paint mural concept on the wall. Mural concept/proposal.
Note
All projects must be located in Toronto, exposed to and visible from a city street. Designs must be suitable for all ages; no references to alcohol or drugs. Submissions must include written authorization from the property owner. City of Toronto employees are not eligible. Projects must be completed in 2026.
