Your portfolio just got a whole lot more powerful. This update transforms how you add, manage, and share creative work on Artsume — with direct media uploads, expanded platform support, standalone shareable pages, and a completely rebuilt editing experience.
Direct Video & Audio Uploads
You can now upload video and audio files straight to Artsume — no need for a third-party host.
Video uploads:
- Upload MP4, MOV, WebM, and other common formats (up to 50 MB)
- Files are automatically compressed to 720p with optimized quality
- A thumbnail is extracted automatically so your work looks great in your portfolio grid
- Videos play natively in your portfolio viewer with clean, distraction-free controls
Audio uploads:
- Upload MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG, and more (up to 20 MB)
- Audio is compressed to AAC for fast, universal playback
- A waveform visualization is generated automatically and used as the thumbnail
- A custom waveform player lets visitors play, pause, and scrub through your audio
All processing happens in your browser — your files never pass through a separate server.

Unified Media Input
The entire media editing experience has been rebuilt into a single, intuitive interface:
- Drag and drop any combination of images, video, and audio
- Three input modes — upload files, paste links, or add written content
- Smart auto-detection routes files and URLs to the right slot automatically
- Drag to reorder — the first image becomes your primary thumbnail
- Auto-generated thumbnails — upload a video or audio file with no images and a thumbnail is created for you
- Capacity indicators show exactly what you can still add (up to 3 images, 1 video, 1 audio, 1 social post, 1 text piece)
Drafts & Auto-Save
No more losing work in progress:
- Drafts — start a portfolio work and come back to it later without publishing
- Auto-save — text fields save after 3 seconds of inactivity, media changes save instantly
- Unsaved changes protection — if you try to close with pending edits, you'll be prompted to save or discard
- A subtle status indicator shows "saving" and "saved" so you always know where you stand
Drafts are completely private. They won't appear on your public profile, in search, or anywhere else until you choose to publish.
